Financial Institutions and Markets in Brunei

Michael Skully

Chapter 1 in Financial Institutions and Markets in Southeast Asia, 1984, pp 1-48 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Brunei is located on the northwest coast of the Island of Borneo and — due to its major oil and gas reserves — is one of the richest countries for its size in the world.1 Its land area of 5765 square kilometres is divided between an eastern and a somewhat larger western portion, separated from each other by the Bay of Brunei and the Malaysian state of Sarawak.
