Chapter 2 in One Money for Europe, 1978, pp 37-51 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract We, the undersigned, concerned at the lack of progress towards the goal of European monetary union to which the governments of the member countries of the European Community have repeatedly committed themselves, and at the harmful consequences of the inflation which we are experiencing, present this manifesto to the public in the belief that our proposal offers the best way of achieving a monetary system which will be not only European-wide in scope but stable as well.
