The Institutions for Multilateral Payments and for Investments

Giuseppe Schiavone

Chapter 7 in The Institutions of Comecon, 1981, pp 150-166 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract The International Bank for Economic Cooperation (IBEC) constitutes an important milestone in the development of the cooperation that is carried out under the influence, more or less direct, of CMEA. It therefore appears useful to examine the purpose, the structure and the other features of the IBEC’s operation and activities, and the results it has achieved in its fifteen years of life.
