Chapter 3 in The Political Role of International Trades Unions, 1983, pp 31-41 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The intensification of the struggle between the communists and the other allies in the reconstruction of Europe and in the Third World was influenced, to a high degree, by the close co-operation which emerged during the Second World War between the forces of national unions and their respective governments. Unless this close working relationship on external policy is perceived, much of what has occurred since then in the field of international labour will be virtually unintelligible.
