Abstract:
Abstract The growth of the SCM clause was mentioned in Chapter 6, where it was pointed out that its irregular and spasmodic expansion was evidently influenced by a variety of forces. In this chapter we look more deeply into this clause, partly with the aim of identifying those forces.
