A chapter in Unemployment, 1981, pp 1-4 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Unemployment levels in most countries have been so high during the 1970s that we would have to go back several decades and a generation of economists to find a parallel. In the press and general political debate, economists have been accused of lacking explanations for this phenomenon. It has been asserted that no Keynes has appeared during the post-war period to lead the way out of the wilderness.
