Bade and Parkin: Is £M3 the Right Aggregate?
Rachel Lomax
A chapter in Monetarism in the United Kingdom, 1984, pp 294-300 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract These comments have been extensively revised to reflect a radical change in the contents and conclusions of this paper since the conference was held in September 1981. In the meantime, the authorities have emphasised that no single aggregate can fully encapsulate monetary conditions, and have said that the target range for 1982–3 applies to both broad and narrow money.
