Chapter 9 in Comparative Industrial Relations, 1983, pp 176-194 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Strike consists in the stoppage of work by organized labour in support of economic or sometimes political demands. The official attitude to strikes differs in detail from one country to another, particularly where different social systems are involved. In spite of the lack of uniformity, certain generalizations can be formulated, and then the inevitable contradictory exceptions can be highlighted.
