Abstract: Abstract The objective of this volume is to assess the role of the Soviet Union in the international trade of basic minerals and agricultural commodities. The long-term trends in Soviet trading patterns, their implication for international commodity markets as well as for a broader system of international economic and political relations are here of major concern.
