Abstract Leaving aside the military aspect there are certain similarities, however unlikely it may seem, between Wellington’s Waterloo and the NFC Consortium’s share subscription offer. Both ultimately ended up with resounding victories, but in each case the outcome was in doubt almost right up to the very last moment.
