Abstract:
Abstract The purpose of this chapter is to construct new estimates of gold coin in circulation in the United Kingdom for the years 1873 to 1913, and on their strength to evaluate some of the relationships among the various monetary variables in order to verify or refute some of the findings of Goodhart1 and Bordo and Schwartz.2
