Abstract:
Abstract Throughout nearly eight consecutive years from 1975 to the present, a group of economists and engineers has jointly explored different micro and macroeconomic aspects of technological change in various manufacturing industries of the largest Latin American countries. For such purpose the team enjoyed extensive financial and institutional support from three international agencies: the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Economic Commission for Latin America (ECLA) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
