Chapter 15 in Technology Generation in Latin American Manufacturing Industries, 1987, pp 481-498 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract My purpose here is to review three papers of the IDB/CEPA project and relate them to three issues concerning the relationship between innovation and development:1 The character or type innovations; the inducements to innovate and the development technological capabilities. Two papers deal with the technological history of individual industrial plants — P. Maxwell’s paper on Acindar’s Rosario Steel Plant and the paper by J. Katz and collaborates on Ducilo’s Rayon Plant; the third, by G. Vitelli, reviews the Argentine Construction sector.
