Chapter 9 in Forecasts for the World Rubber Economy to the Year 2000, 1984, pp 331-375 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Total demand for rubber is divided between natural rubber (NR) and synthetic rubber (SR). How has this division been determined in the past and what will be the share of NR and SR in the future? After some historical information in section 9.1 and a brief description of the NR and SR demand and supply interactions in models by other authors in section 9.2, our own analysis and model will be discussed in 9.3. Projections are presented in 9.4.
