Chapter 4 in Contributions to Islamic Economic Theory, 1986, pp 40-50 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract An elementary idea of the capital structure in an Islamic economy will be introduced in this chapter. The proper place to begin is by investigating the nature of stock financing in an Islamic economy, for it is in this area that we can discuss the important topic of debt-equity nature of capital, which plays a significant role in the Islamic economic theory of capital formation at the level of the firm.
