A chapter in World Trade: Monetary Order and Latin America, 1990, pp 131-135 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The liberal world trade and financial system established after the Second World War has brought unprecedented benefits to the citizens of the world. Now that liberal order is being challenged by advocates of restrictive trade and financial practices. Many of these challenges have their roots in the severe dislocations and imbalances that characterise the present international economic situation.
