Abstract Slower economic growth, declining business opportunities, expanding local manufacturing base, modernized infrastructure for distribution and retailing, changing population structure, consumption habits, literacy rates and life styles in the region are expected to have a noticeable impact on Gulf consumer markets over the near to medium term.
