The Board of Directors
Dimitris N. Chorafas
Chapter 5 in Membership of the Board of Directors, 1988, pp 83-107 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The last two chapters focused on strategic planning, on the decisions taken by the board of directors cannot be made independently of corporate strategy, and they are often conditioned by the latter. Similarly, government policy not only shapes the economic future, but it can both promote and inhibit the development of national and multinational enterprises — as discussed in the concluding chapter of this book.
