Chapter 13 in The Theory and Measurement of International Economic Integration, 1989, pp 291-304 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Petith (1977), utilising an extended theoretical structure of Mundell’s (1964) framework, attempted an empirical evaluation of the terms of trade (t/t) effects of European economic integration. He concluded that the t/t gains seemed likely to have been one of the major effects of the creation of BENELUX, the EC and EFTA.
