Class Struggle and Income Distribution in Kaleckian Theory
Bruno Jossa
Chapter 8 in Kalecki’s Relevance Today, 1989, pp 142-159 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract In the ‘Introduction’ to the English edition of his Selected Essays on the Dynamics of the Capitalist Economy, which includes his main contributions to the theory of economic dynamics published between 1933 and 1970, Kalecki stated: It is interesting to notice that the theory of effective demand, already clearly formulated in the first papers, remains unchanged in all the relevant writings, as do my views on the distribution of national income. However, there is a continuous search for new solutions in the theory of investment decisions (Kalecki, 1971b, p. viii).
