The Role of Swiss Banks in International Finance
Leo Schuster
Chapter 11 in The Future of Financial Systems and Services, 1990, pp 193-204 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Amongst the latest developments in international finance, such as securitisation, disintermediation and deregulation, attention should first be focused on globalisation. If the international financial markets could already be considered as global, there would be far-reaching consequences for today’s financial centres. In fact, although they are international, they do offer comparative advantages within their national context, and that is the reason why they still exist.
