Chapter 1 in Expert Systems in Banking, 1991, pp 3-25 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract It is a cliche to say that change is sweeping the financial services industry. The challenge to management is to ‘define’ the change in a way that is a guide to strategy. This involves the need to establish the direction of change, anticipate alterations in the rules of the game, and elaborate managerial plans and policies which seem likely to succeed in the new environment.
