Abstract:
Abstract Not all American financial institutions are in the foreground of high technology. Those which are — Citibank, Security Pacific, American Express, Prudential Insurance, Great Western Savings Bank, Goldman Sachs, Chemical Banking, among others — are on a par with the foremost Japanese financial organisations, though the fields which they have chosen to lead in technology are not always the same.
