Liquidity Proposals for a New Bretton Woods Plan
Paul Davidson
Chapter 19 in Inflation, Open Economies and Resources, 1991, pp 225-235 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The current international monetary crisis should be obvious to all — even to the most dedicated Monetarist. But Monetarists justify this international chaos as the bitter medicine that must be swallowed to purge the international economic system of its follies of the last four decades. (Monetarists ignore the fact that in the 25 years after the second World War, the world experienced the greatest real growth in the history of mankind).
