Abstract:
Abstract The Highway Beautification Act of 1965 is a joint attempt by the Federal Government and the various state governments of the United States to provide for scenic development and road beautification of Federal-Aid highway systems. There are three major sections of the Act: Title I and Title II deal with provisions for limiting and controlling outdoor advertising and junkyards adjacent to highways; Title III is concerned with the need for landscaping and scenic enhancement of highway systems.
