Abstract:
Abstract Anyone thinking of working for a Japanese company will need some information about the people he or she expects to be dealing with. Friends and family will be of little help, unless they themselves have worked for Japanese companies here in Britain, because in the public eye the Japanese are little less mysterious now than they were a hundred years ago when strange reports from “Topsy-Turvy Land” first began to trickle back to an eager audience. A trip to a well-stocked library might seem a sensible plan in finding information solid enough upon which to base a major career decision.
