Strategic Considerations

A. D. P. Edwards

Chapter 22 in The Exporter’s & Importer’s Handbook on Foreign Currencies, 1990, pp 104-113 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract Assuming that the policy decision to sell in foreign currencies has been made, the first consideration must be based on the type of product or industry with which the company is involved. The considerations are obviously different between say a manufacturer of small unit consumer goods and a company only involved in major construction projects. The type of buyer to whom you are selling should therefore give rise to the first consideration.
