Hélène Seppain

Chapter 5 in Contrasting US and German Attitudes to Soviet Trade, 1917–91, 1992, pp 103-130 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract The period 1949–52 marked the beginning of the transition from Allied Military government of West Germany to greater sovereignty and inclusion in the European Defence Community (EDC). This was formalised in the Contractual Agreements, signed by the FRG and the Western powers on 26 May 1952, and followed by the EDC treaty on 27 May 1952.
