Abstract:
Abstract In this chapter, we examine the existing prudential regulations and legal framework relating to the banking sector of Cyprus. We discuss the Banking Bill proposed by the Cyprus Government and compare it to the EEC Banking Directives in view of Cyprus’s prospective entry into the European Community (EC).
