Abstract:
Abstract T. De Quincey, F. Bastiat and F. Ferrara, though not using mathematical analysis, sought to illustrate some of their arguments by simple geometrical representations. This is not, of course, a new approach. Such geometrical representations had already been used for the purposes of illustration by such earlier authors as Aristotle, T. Spinelli, G. Garnier, J. B. Say, F. Fuoco and J. H. von Thünen.1
