Chapter 3 in The Diversity of Management, 1994, pp 23-30 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract You could call me the Landlord of Paddington Station. If you stand for an hour on the concourse and stare around you, you get a good idea of the scale of the job. All train services from London to Wales, Penzance and Bristol start at my station. Paddington is Great Western’s gateway to Wales and Cornwall. I have fourteen platforms which operate both InterCity and suburban services.
