Chapter 11 in Financial Stability in a Changing Environment, 1995, pp 513-521 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract On behalf of all participants, I want to express the deep appreciation and admiration we have for the hospitality and organizational acumen of the Institute for Monetary and Economic Studies of the Bank of Japan. We salute the Institute for its gracious welcome and congratulate the Bank’s leaders for their willingness to bring together academics and regulators from around the world to debate in freewheeling fashion a series of politically treacherous, bureaucratically painful, and economically tough issues. Each and every one of us is honored to have been invited to participate in this important program.
