Chapter 1 in Social Capability and Long-Term Economic Growth, 1995, pp 3-8 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The economics profession has once again begun to turn its attention to the subject of economic growth. Development economists, of course, never turned away from the subject, but most of the rest of the profession over these past three decades has been occupied elsewhere. During the last several years, however, a number of strands of analysis have combined to bring theorists as well as development practitioners back to the subject.
