Abstract: Abstract In September 1974, a Colloquium on Research Programmes in Physics and Economics was held in Nafplion, Greece. Revisiting Nafplion after twenty years is the task I set myself as I sit down to write a few words in honour of my friend Axel Leijonhufvud.
