Abstract:
Abstract An article in the Science and Technology section of Business Week (1993) noted that R&D managers are having to focus research more clearly on the step beyond invention, by commercializing discoveries. ‘I want to still do fundamental research, but I also want people to understand that they are doing it for a purpose’, says Nobel laureate Arno A. Penzias, vice president for research at AT&T Bell Laboratories.
