The GreenSpace Project and the Future of Multimedia
Dimitris N. Chorafas
Chapter 8 in Protocols, Servers and Projects for Multimedia Realtime Systems, 1997, pp 193-217 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract While multimedia is a term which, over the last ten years, has grown from a concept to a number of successful applications, its current use is already judged as too limited in terms of the projected needs of business and industry. This is true all the way from interfaces, to servers, networks and protocols — which are the building blocks to the practical application of virtual reality as discussed in Chapter 7 (see also Chorafas, 1994a, and Chorafas and Steinmann, 1995).
