Abstract:
Abstract Twenty-five years ago networks started on their way to become the infrastructure of corporate computing and communications. With this developed the concept of confined space computing, which dominated until fairly recently their design. But, as we will see in this chapter, mobile computing and communications see to it that the grand design is now radically changing.
