Management Education for Societies in Transition
Murray C. Frazer
Chapter 1 in Management Education in Countries in Transition, 1999, pp 1-12 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The countries of Central Europe and of the former Soviet Union1 face the end of the twentieth century with a challenge probably as great as that ever faced by any nation: very urgent massive transformation of their social and economic frameworks. They are ‘societies in transition’ with a vengeance, and on a scale rarely experienced in peacetime anywhere in previous times. One of their challenges is the development of systems of education in management and business administration that are appropriate to the particular and peculiar needs of these countries.
