Barriers in an Educational Market: A Systems Approach

Hasan H. Valiullin

Chapter 4 in Management Education in Countries in Transition, 1999, pp 46-52 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract An investigation of the formation and development of educational markets may be carried out by different analytical methods. From the viewpoint of systems theory an educational system is to be interpreted as a subsystem of a complex socio-economic system. Like the transformation of any system, the transition from a centrally planned economy to a market-oriented one requires a certain time. The duration of this transition period depends on a broad range of different factors, some of which lead to the lengthening of this period and others to its shortening.
