Abstract:
Abstract This chapter is based on the results of over three years of cooperation between Iowa State University (ISU) and institutions in the Czech and Slovak Republics. The institutions are the Universities of Agriculture in Brno and Prague in the Czech Republic and Nitra in the Slovak Republic; the University of Southern Bohemia, Ceske Budjovice in the Czech Republic; and the University of Economics, Bratislava and the Agroinstitute, Nitra in the Slovak Republic. ISU and the Czech and Slovak institutions worked together between 1991 and 1994 under Management Training and Economics Education (MTEE) projects funded by the United States Agency for International Development.
