Chapter 5 in Flexible Employment, 1997, pp 64-89 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract In Chapter 4 we examined the extent to which individuals were in non-standard forms of work in Britain in 1994. In the present chapter, we wish to know also something about their characteristics. Since some of the tables have been published in Dex and McCulloch (1995) we do not reproduce them here. For the full statistics on the characteristics we discuss we refer the reader, when it is appropriate, to this other publication.
