The Management of an Organisation in Crisis

Peter Hayes

Chapter 12 in Disasters and the Media, 1999, pp 173-184 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract My purpose is to tell you about my involvement with the Hillsborough football tragedy which in turn resulted in considerable crisis within the South Yorkshire Police. Rather than dwelling on the disaster in detail, I will be covering the organisational problems which developed and how these were managed.
