The Polarisation of Consulting Styles
Fiona Czerniawska
Chapter 11 in Management Consultancy in the 21st Century, 1999, pp 110-118 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Seymour Tilles, the author of a 1961 article on consultancy, told clients that they should not be seeking to obtain facts from their advisers: much more of an issue was the need to convert these facts into action: If what the executive wants is not information but help, he must realize that ‘help’ is a highly personal thing, and does not corne neatly bound in plastic covers.1
