Abstract:
Abstract Training and development investment will not pay the right kind of dividend if the staff involved are essentially inappropriate to their roles. In this chapter we look at the process for ensuring that the initial selection of staff at all levels is as strong as possible. Our first observation is that on a world-wide basis something is going wrong and it has to be put right.
