Chapter 6 in The Small Business Casebook, 1979, pp 101-108 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract Regent Printers Ltd was formed in 1968 by two master printers, Alf and Bernie, and an accountant, Charles, and by 1974 sales had reached £279,600 and net profit £15,400. Early in 1975, prompted by a potential management crisis, the partners began to consider whether the method of growth and management style which they had previously adopted would be appropriate for the future long-term growth and development of the business, since they intended that Regent Printers should become publicly quoted by 1983.
