Chapter 2 in The Professional Secretary’s Handbook, 1980, pp 10-22 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The work of the public relations officer (PRO) is to spread information, and this work may not only cover the immediate and exclusive needs of his or her firm, but help to fulfil the needs of the community as well, to their mutual benefit. If a secretary is aware of the aims and scope of community and public relations, she will be able to use her own initiative in helping to plan and carry out PR work for her employer.
