Management Processes: Structure and Planning
Jacques Henri Horovitz
Chapter 4 in Top Management Control in Europe, 1980, pp 53-79 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract This chapter and the three chapters which follow will concentrate on presenting detailed descriptions of the differences and similarities in management practices between countries. As will be seen, there are sharp differences in control practices from country to country. These will be highlighted in Chapter 5 at the chief executive’s level and elaborated in terms of the accompanying different ways of organising control in Chapter 6. Finally, in Chapter 7, the ensuing differences in practice at the operational level will be examined.
