Interpersonal Style

Farid A. Muna

Chapter 6 in The Arab Executive, 1980, pp 71-87 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract The most distinctive feature of the Arab executive’s interpersonal style is his strong preference for a personal or person-oriented approach in his managerial activities. In fact, he has a strong aversion to impersonal relationships. This, as we shall see shortly, stems largely from the strength of the executive’s primordial (family and friendship) ties, as well as from the characteristics of his society’s social structure.
