The Less-Developed Countries and Transnational Enterprises

Carlos Díaz-Alejandro and Peter Svedberg

Chapter 6 in The World Economic Order, 1981, pp 233-261 from Palgrave Macmillan

Abstract: Abstract This essay ranges over many issues, but it does not survey exhaustibly the topic of interactions between the less-developed countries (LDCs) and transnational enterprises (TNEs). The vastness of such a topic imposes certain selectivity. Both TNEs and LDCs are heterogeneous, and even the area of their interaction contains great variety.
