Chapter 1 in Money and Employment, 1982, pp 1-10 from Palgrave Macmillan
Abstract:
Abstract The aim of this book is to clarify some of the issues that have featured in public and professional discussions about economic management in recent years. The last decade has seen a greater polarisation of views about how the economy functions and the economic policies that can and should be pursued. Debates have taken place in the press, in bank reviews and periodicals and in the professional economic journals. What follows is a bringing together of what has been discussed, and the suggestion of some conclusions.
